At Digital Academy of Texas (DATX) K–2, we believe the early elementary years lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Our program combines exceptional teaching, meaningful relationships, and a rigorous Texas curriculum to help every student build confidence, curiosity, and essential academic skills.
Through daily live instruction led by Texas-certified teachers, students are actively engaged in learning while receiving the personalized support they need to thrive. Every lesson is designed to foster academic growth while creating a joyful, connected learning experience.
A High-Quality Texas Curriculum
DATX K–2 students receive daily instruction using the Texas Bluebonnet Learning curriculum for English Language Arts and Mathematics. This research-based curriculum is fully aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and is designed to build strong readers, writers, and mathematicians through rich content, meaningful discussions, and purposeful practice.
In addition to Bluebonnet, students receive explicit, systematic phonics instruction to develop foundational literacy skills. Our literacy block integrates phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing to ensure students become confident, capable readers.

A Partnership with Learning Coaches
Success in our K–2 program is built on a strong partnership between teachers and Learning Coaches.
Learning Coaches play an essential role by helping establish routines, encouraging daily learning, and supporting students at home. Our teachers provide the instruction, monitor student progress, communicate regularly with families, and personalize learning to meet each child’s unique needs.
Together, teachers and Learning Coaches create a collaborative learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and celebrated every step of the way.
